Gallery asks collectors to give their discounts back to the artists

I had proposed this idea to Gala Porras-Kim over a conversation we had about the problem of creating a sustainable life for less successful financially artists also represented by Commonwealth and Council. During the conversation, I learned about the common buyers' discount process and proposed taking a portion of the discount and giving it back to the gallery as part of a collective fund. I wouldn't describe this as art activism, but I am interested in working at ways of redistributing capital elegantly using tactics learned in my business education towards more equitable power structures.
