Tania wanted a two-pager on my concept of White PTSD, which I had briefly described to her on our last chat. I tried to explain it as making a white person feel white, to make a white person think about race all the time, in every instance. The attempt right now is to elevate the marginalized but I think it should be marginalizing power – bring power down. Direct experience is the safest route to empathy, which is critical because sympathy is dangerous.
